COMMUNITY SERVICE
ABC cares about helping the community however it can, regardless of the economy. We know how invaluable a helping hand is when times are tough, so ABC and its members happily take on at least one major community service project every year.

ABC is currently conducting a donation drive for the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii, and we need your help.

Here's how it works: You donate your unwanted clothing, books, toys, or anything Savers stores sell to UCPH. UCPH picks up the collection and delivers it to Savers. UCPH gets paid based on the number of items it delivers. Savers sorts through the items and puts what it wants in its stores (typically the highest quality items) and sends the rest to third-world countries or material wholesalers. You get a tax deduction form from ABC so that you can write off your donations. Everyone wins!

This is our big community service event for 2010, so please let us know if you would like to help. We will be photo-documenting our progress on Facebook, and we've already received our first 100 lbs. Thank you and keep up the good work!
