ABC Hawaii offers
State and Federal approved apprentice training for
carpenters,
electricians,
painters,
plumbers,
roofers and
sheet metal workers. The program includes on-the-job and hands-on classroom training.
- Classes are held at Honolulu Community College and the Associated Builders and Contractors Trade School.
- Training lasts from just three to five years.
- Graduates receive up to 45 college credits towards an Associates Degree in Applied Science.

Sheet Metal programs, with even more in the pipeline.

Core CurriculumThe core curriculum is taught as an element of each of the trade training programs
Carpentry The course covers all aspects of the trade, including concrete forms, framing, finish, and cabinetry.
Correspondence Apprenticeship
The correspondence apprentices use the same Wheels of Learning manuals that our regular apprentices do, and take tests on a regular schedule.
Electrical The program covers all aspects of the electrical trade with heavy emphasis on safety.
Painting
Safety in the painting trade is heavily stressed in this course. Also coverd are spray, brush, and special coating techniques.
Plumbing
ABC Hawaii offers a comprehensive curriculum through its Plumbing Apprenticeship Program.
